I am quoting someone, but wont use their name:

3) Guilds that broke up due to ursan being nerfed are bad guilds, and I don't think anyone cares that these guilds are gone. Quitting a game because you spent hours grinding something that is now pretty worthless is, well, pretty stupid.

4) The only thing it killed was bad players. With ursan gone, bad players quit, and less bad players in a game community is good.

Bad Players? Bad Guilds? You dont think anyone cares that they are gone? This isnt a professional sport or the military. There is no required skill level to participate. Why do you treat these "bad players" like second class citizens? This is a game and people are here to have fun. How do bad players make your game play less fun? I bet it mattered to those people whose guilds disbanded or they and their friends played less due to the UB nerf. Why do you have to be such an insensitive weasel about that?

I can still do UW and FOW no problem w/o UB, and agreed there are ways around it if you apply yourself, but take a look at DoA. Its empty. We did a full clear in HM of DoA earlier this week and it was harder but still doable.

This whole snotty stuck up attitude that we are better off without players who you, your highness, deem "bad" is one of the things I hate about the community of this game. Everyone starts off as a "bad" player and then you learn and get good.

As far as it being good for the game, why would someone buy the expansions if they get online for the first time and cant get in a group or play with anyone because there are fewer people on. New people get their start with "bad players" and then get better. The more people who play, good or bad, the more people they will bring into the game by word of mouth, the more money Anet has to develop more things and servers for us. Less People = Less Growth = Less $$ for Anet = Less budget to develop more things. And yes I do have a professional background in Social Science and Marketing.

Lets not adopt a junior highschool attitude of "were cooler/better than them" when referring to people who are not great at the game. We need poor players whether you want to admit it or not, so lets stop being elitist jerks about how good we are and have to dislike others who are not as good as we are. I have my 20+ maxxed titles and a storage full of golds and ectos and armbraces, but since the nerf, it just isn't as fun or busy, so I play less and am less inclined to invite REAL WORLD friends into a game I dont enjoy as much. Maybe if some of us "Good Players" had more Real World Friends, and they played, and were "bad players" we might develop a little more compassion for them. Maybe if we spent less time being so impressed with how good we are compared to others, you would realize the true socioeconomical dynamic of this game and realize that more is better.

There's a difference between "bad" and "inexperienced" players, just to emphasize. It would be good if Ursan helped the latter, but it catered exclusively to the former. I'll let Arkantos take it away from here(see no reason why you didn't include his name).

Oh, unless Savio closes this.

Unless person A (someone who has GW) told person B (someone who never heard or played GW) "there's this skill in GW that all you have to do is grind for 2-3 days and you can beat anything", why won't person B buy GW ? Because ANet nerfed a skill that they didn't know about ?

For those who leave ? Well they already paid, it's there loss.

Maybe everyone starts as a bad player, but if you only ues 1 build (UB), how do you become a good player ?

Question to those who left GW due to that nerf : how did you play a year ago ?

It's an Ursan thread with exactly the same arguments as all the other Ursan threads. Closed.
